Grace à une carte de réduction offert par A et mon papa, nous pouvons déguster de nombreux repas dans des restaurants cotés de la région, en n'en payant que la moitié. (Oui, B, promis je te l'amène cette semaine à Nîmes pour que tu puisses en profiter avec M.)



La carte des vins nous a un poil déroutée. En effet, cette dernière est classé par caractères des vins. Blancs, rosés, rouges sont mélangés. Je comprends la volonté de la sommelière, mais c'est un poil tordu. Heureusement, son aide nous a guidés vers de bonnes surprises: un pic saint loup et un chateau neuf du pape.
Nous avons dégustés le menu carte (le nom est un poil basique) : canapé, amuses-bouche, entrée, intermezzo, plat, dessert et mignardises pour 65 € (petit rappel on avait une offre: un menu acheté, l'autre offert). L'expérience est complètement décrite plus bas avec photos et commentaires.
Pour résumer, l'expérience fut des plus agréables. Mon père était ravi de voir que Montpellier pouvait de nouveau avoir un certain standard dans la cuisine française. A est repartie pleine d'idées pour ces prochains repas. Stefan est parti le ventre plein. Finalement, je suis partie la tête pleine d'étoiles, espérant un jour pouvoir associer en cuisine les saveurs aussi bien que le chef.
Donc chers non-lecteurs, le MIA est un restaurant approuvé Charlotte...

But to talk about food and excellence, my kitchen is not a typical example.
Thanks to a discount card offered by A and my dad, we can enjoy many meals in listed restaurants in the area, by paying half. (Yes, B, I promise you this week brings in Nîmes so you can enjoy it with M.)

First impressions are mixed. You will call me a difficult person. But the restaurant is based in the new district of Montpellier, one near of the new town hall. The area is becoming more friendly, very modern, but impossible to park. For a michelin star restaurant, we expected more opportunities. Regardless, a niche within a construction site will be perfect to put the Renault Espace. (I would like to insist on the car, because Stefan is experiencing depression since Frank Underwood aka Kevin Pacey makes the ad for a French car). If you do not know the place, it is very difficult to locate the a restaurant in the middle of the design center. The terrace is a bit too beach restaurant. Nothing wrong with that, but it is not very classy. Regarding the interior of the restaurant, personally I love it. The style is very pampering and adapted to the space. For once, the seats are comfortable, light is present enough to see what we eat, good sound to be able to share a conversation, and I love the colors. The restaurant is not at all pompous, but family trendy.
The service is pleasant, wearing a little too short (I did see the shorty lace of the waitress, I think it's for tips), smiling, not stuffy, and good advice.
The wine cart has us baffled. Indeed, it is classified by characteristics of wine. White, rosé, red are mixed. I understand the desire of the sommelier, but it's twisted. Fortunately, help guided us towards good surprises: a Pic Saint Loup and a Chateau Neuf du Pape.
We enjoyed the carte menu (the name is a basic one): canapé, amuse-bouche, appetizer, intermezzo, main course, dessert and sweets for € 65 (one little reminder we had an offer: a menu bought, the other offered) . The experience is totally described thereafter with some pictures and comments.
To sum up, the experience was enjoyable. My father was delighted that Montpellier could again have a certain standard in French cuisine. A went back full of ideas for the coming meals. Stefan went on a full stomach. Finally, I went head full of stars, hoping one day to be able to associate the flavors in the kitchen as well as the head chef.
So dear non-readers, the MIA is an approved Charlotte restaurant ...
